This book was a sweet read, funny and cute. I really enjoyed it. I really liked both Tanner and Bethany. Tanner was sexy and funny as hell making a fool of himself over Bethany. Bethany was cute and funny, driving Tanner insane with her flirting. The sexual tension between them was hott as hell. I really liked the other characters in this book, and I love the ending although I wish it was a little longer. This book was a great, light hearted, feel good read!

This was a good story about two people that grew up together that saw each other after ten years apart. They both had changed physically and they both still had all of the old feelings about each other they were dealing with. Tanner wasn't sure how to deal with Bethany since she had changed so much physically. Bethany wasn't going to chase Tanner she was going to get him to chase her. Tanner can't seem to say what he means when Bethany is around and she overhears part of a conversation Tanner is having with a friend and not the whole conversation and takes it the wrong way. Bethany decides to leave town to lick her wounds and Tanner doesn't understand why she left. The ending was really cute!
Tanner was four years old when his mother's friend had Bethany. As they grew up next door to each other, Bethany was set on marriage to Tanner even though he treated her like his little sister. Bethany left for college and out of touch, but their moms kept in touch and had a great friendship.

Now Bethany returned to her hometown for an award presentation and still interested in Tanner. He on the other hand was totally involved with law enforcement and being a Sheriff just like his Dad when he was alive and...no intentions of ever getting involved with anyone, never mind marriage.

The now grownup and beautiful Bethany with gorgeous blue eyes, still wants him, and excitement and desire build while Tanner does his best to avoid being around. Will Bethany make him want her love, or will Tanner still treat her like the little girl next door, as he did in the past.

I actually giggled "Breasts?" what a goofus! and Reading some of the complaints about the female lead being less than confident...?! She had him tripping over his tongue right from the start! All in all it was enjoyable but tame (IMO) and could have been spicier (again IMO). Then I became angry with heroine for not speaking up - when at other times she would - waffle anyone? But I did end up with a tear in my eye when HERO finally got his act together - and it was (as another review stated) kind of a quick-to-the-end-ending by I still had a tear in my eye - happy ever after kind.

Meddling moms forcing kids onto each other - lanky, skinny lil girl follows older boy all over - annoying him until she finally moves away. Time passes, she returns - bombshell! Good read, in my opinion.
Hero of her Heart holds a complete story. Drama, Comedy, Action, Love Story, you name it, this book has it. The first few pages of the book have gotten me hooked. It was so sweet how a 4 year old Tanner finds the baby Bethany as disgusting as she could be and from then on decided he doesn't want to do anything with her, unless she grows some fangs and starts wagging her tail.

The drama of losing someone you love has saddened Bethany who has learned at an early age that she must be destined to be lonely. Knowing this, she invested her money, time, and energy into her `unique' business. Though as years passed by, she has not forgotten a love she has left behind and still wish that somebody she will have her HEA with her hero. Her determination never faltered but she also knows how to choose her battle.

My title has indicated a scene in this book when two adult men talked about Bethany's business. It was so hilarious that you as a reader knows what they are supposed to be talking about but these two clueless men are innocently discussing a totally different thing.

Our hero, Tanner, has lived his young life with Bethany as his shadow. Thrown into matchmaking scheme of his mom, he did not have a choice most of the time. However, when the time came, he realized, it is him, not his mom or Bethany who wanted her to be constantly be by his side. As the Sheriff and mature man it was surprising to find him always at odds with his temper when it comes to Bethany. His jealousy and possessiveness which drove him to be violent at times, was not a turn off, but it actually added to his charm. How his love for Bethany most of the times blinded him into doing something drastic and funny how he actually didn't seem to know the reason behind his actions.

A very entertaining book and I highly recommend it. There was never a dull moment in this book and it comes in complete package of everything you may ever look for in a romantic story.
