Now I like EM & usually I rate her books pretty high. This one, however is a turkey.

Reese is a journalist & she's also pretty stupid. She acts stupid, she sounds stupid when she opens her mouth. When Derek tries to retrieve an envelope she accidently has in her rented car, he identifies himself as FBI & shows her the badge to prove it. What does she do? Assaults him & runs away. This book just groans with comments that are supposed to be funny, but aren't. For example : "She wanted an orgasm from Knight, not a toenail fungus from his dirty shower".
Derek was OK, until the sex scene with the loaded gun. No.....just no.

This was a reread, but I've only read it one other time. It was so painful to get through this, I had to read a couple of chapters at a time, than read something else. It's taken me a LOOONG time to get through it. I can't recommend it, sorry. Resale shop pile

I really enjoyed this book. I actually bought it after reading 'Houston, We Have A Problem' by the same author because I had enjoyed it so much I was looking for a book that would be comparable to it. Once again Erin McCarthy did not let me down. This book had three things I look for the most in my books and that is witty humor, heat, and love. I will say it comes in second compared to 'Houston, We Have A Problem' but at the same time it was a good read and well worth my money.
This book is super funny and one of my all time favorite books. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a funny romance
novel. Erin McCarthy really hit it out of the park with this book. The hero and heroine were very funny.
Two people. Two worlds. Who would have thought their worlds would have come together in such a beautiful way.

Erin McCarthy is one of my favorite authors. This one is no exception. I really enjoy a story with lots of humor
and sexual tension. This one has it all. I would recommend it for a great beach read.
...and a total must-read book! I highly recommend this book for beach reading (or anytime reading). Reese is daring and funny and Derek, well, Derek is a total hottie. Erin McCarthy has written another winner. I don't know how she does it but the lady just can't write a bad romance.

The action in this book is relentless and starts off with the first sentence. Reese and Derek are a perfect couple. Buy this book.
Usually, I like to actually read a STORY....you know, characters who are developed and have some issue to overcome or something. This has a good idea for a story but was completely overcome by detailed (and very similar) sexual situations. Yuck. a little sex is nice..but this is WAY overdone. I think they cut and paste several of the same sentences for their multiple situations.
I was looking forward to reading this book. I've never read Erin McCarthy before.

It is seriously funny. Romantic comedy can be hard to write.

But the sex started early and three quarters of the book had Reese and Derek either messing around or having sex.

I liked Reese and Derek, especially Derek. I feel this could have been a great story, had the two main characters developed a relationship before all the messing around.

I like her writing style. I'm fine with reading romantic fluff if it's entertaining and holds my interest. I had a hard time getting through all the sex scenes. I wanted more from the characters.
