It hurts me to review this book. How could I not love a character that says something like that? It’s something I would say! I loved our geeky heroine Sera. Her quirkiness, plethora of geek know-how and love of it made her a character that I really liked and could connect to. Little Matty was also a joy to read about. A total sweetie who deserved to be loved and coddled. It doesn’t take Sera very long at all to fall in love with him and it didn’t take me long either.

Then there’s the bad. Hunter annoyed the hell out of me. I don’t remember the last time I read a character that had so many bipolar issues. It was like whiplash. He was an ass for a good portion of the book and I don’t think he deserved Sera and Matty. He also had way too many issues. I understand having Diabetes is horrible. It’s your own body working against you but the entire book turned into a “feel sorry for me because I have this disease” rant that aggravated me. He had some redeeming qualities and then, he ruined it in one sentence. One sentence and my entire view of him changed. I swear, I wanted to slap him. By the end, those words kept playing in my head and any love for him was thrown out the window.

My biggest problem though, was the lack of editing. Soooo many words either missing or misspelled. Holy moly. I couldn't believe how bad it was. Then there are the plot holes. The entire book became all about Hunter when Sera is also dealing with issues that were forgotten. She’s been belittled for her weight all her life and yet, it’s never brought up in conversation with Hunter as to why she has insecurities. Her family has made her into the character that she is but nothing happens with this part of the story. There’s also the fact that her job is mentioned as something she doesn’t like to do and that she should change and do something else and it fizzles. I finished the book going “but what happened with…” and that’s never a good thing.

I just wish the writer had an editor or even beta readers that could have caught this and brought them up. Maybe it's just the bad part of being an editor that had me cringing so much. It physically hurts me to see the errors.
This book had so much good but it is weighed down by the equal amounts of the bad. It was so hard to review this when I liked the heroine so much. She’s a fellow geek and I loved that about her. She has such a big heart and she should have been the star of the book but she’s overshadowed by Hunter.

Would I buy this author’s books again? I totally would. There’s a HUGE amount of potential for this to be a five star read. I loved the author’s voice, I loved the heroine and I loved Matty. The levity of the story was heavily weighed down by Hunter’s darkness and just needs a little more balancing.

I just want to say that this book was really good and I have even read it several times. I have really enjoyed it there are few if any edititing errors and the there is good plot development. However I did have major problem with the authors obvious uneducation or lack of research regarding diabetes. If you write a book about a subject I feel that the facts should be correct. If a diabetic child is having a sugar high they are sluggish and tired not a hyper. If sugar is high that means there is not enough insulin in the body to turn sugar into energy and is trying to use body fat. Also a parent would not leave a child with a caregiver if the sugar is high that would be bad parenting. And also a diabetic has to have carbs but for some reason hunter only eats protein except during a sugar low he is has to have some sugars in his body to live and matty definitely does. Also like another reviewer said i really wish they would have spent more time developing Sera's character I didn't like how it was all about Hunter when she had her own issues as well. I wish the author would have at least had her confront her family. I did like how Hunter had finally got his pov heard but it did little to redeem him.
Can I just say that my nerdy heart is so happy with this book?!?!

I love how much I related to Sera and her love of all things superhero (Batman will always be the best)! She was sweet and funny. She was also sassy and spoke her mind. She has no idea what to think when she comes face to face with Hunter.
Seeing as Sera has never been kissed, she doesn't know how to take Hunter intense presence. She can't believe that this hunk of a man could possibly find her and all her quirks attractive. But he does)
There are some serious topics in this book,as well, and I applaud the author for letting readers get a glimpse into the world of diabetics.
Also, Matty might just be the cutest kid ever! I kinda want to adopt him for myself! Haha!

Sera and Hunter do not have an easy love story, but who really does?! This was a cute book and I can't wait for the next one)
Never been Kissed by CM Kars was excellent! The writing was phenomenal. The story itself was fun and quirky.

It's a story about two people finding their way together. I loved Sera's character. She was fun and witty and Hunter was a dream for her. They both changed each other's lives in only good ways. Hunter helped Sera believe that someone could actually want her regardless of her self doubt. Sera helped Hunter believe that someone could actually want him regardless of the drama surrounding his life.

Overall it was a great story. The chemistry and passion between Hunter and Sera was hot. Hunter often made me swoon. I loved the story of finding soul mates.

I especially love that this wasn't your typical fall in love story. They both had baggage. They fought with each other sometimes and didn't always agree. But it was real. Sera's self doubt was very real. Hunter begging Sera to give him a chance was very real to me. Love is not easy, so it's nice to read a story where the author recognizes that love takes work.

I gave this book five stars because the story and the writing was amazing. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a love story with great writing. The author showed such great talent. I will definitely be reading more from this author. Read this book, and if you buy it, you won't regret it.
